I have sensitive oily skin with dry, extra sensitive patches that seem to come and go, particularly on my neck (probably mild eczema/allergy or similar, never diagnosed). While I really like the rest of the Ultracalming range recommended by a ST (the mask is amazingly soothing for me, and the cleanser is good), this was the only Ultracalming product my skin reacted to - like, really burning and became much redder, so I had to wash it off. Weird how its the only irritating one and its supposed up be like a rescue remedy, makes me think there's extra irritants in this that aren't present elsewhere. Shame.

I have moderate Rosacea and my skin is so sensitive that pretty much anything burns. For a long time I gave up all hope of finding a product that would not irritate my skin. Then Dermalogica was recommended to me by a specialist. This serum is a lifesaver for me. I occasionally have a bad Rosacea flare-up where my skin gets angry, exudes heat, begins to develop pustules, and starts to burn. I wash my face with Dermalogical Ultracalming Cleanser and apply a generous amount of the serum. Within minutes my face begins to cool and calm down. My face never burns or stings. This product is amazing.

I have rosacea, eczema and have suffered from very sensitive skin my whole life. I have been using this product for over a year and I can proudly say this is the first winter that I did not have dry eczema patches on my face! This serum really does what it says. It is so gentle that I can use it above my eyelids, no stinging or burning, just soothing. It protects my skin from daily environmental stress, resulting is fewer rosacea flare-ups. I use this product in conjunction with a daily moisturizer, which varies depending on the season since my skin is dry in the winter and combination in the summer. Thanks Dermalogica!

I didn't know I had sensitized skin until it all went wrong. I started a new product line and it must have over exfoliated or stripped my skin because I was left with a red, dry, stinging, rashy face. It was so sensitized water stung. My old Aveda All-Sensitive moisturiser stung. It hurt to smile and my confidence was taking a big hit. I was so upset. I went down to the local medi-spa and the aesthetician layered me up with the Dermalogica UltraCalming range - the calming spray, the serum, the booster and the moisturizer. It was like a face oasis!!! Almost instant relief. She sent me home with samples and it was this UltraCalming serum that stood out for me the most. It felt incredible! calming and soft and now the smell of it (although it's not scented) makes me think of gentle hands fixing me up.

I love this product! I have extremely reactive skin and eczema. This product is one of the only things that will soothe it. I combine it with the Barrier Repair and my skin feels amazing!!

I haved battled roscea and redness for 10 yrs now! But when I found the Ultracalming products my life & face changed. The most significant improvement was seen with the use of the Ultracalming Serum Concentrate. Since using this product I have gotten off of harsh creams and pills that was prescribed by my Dermatologist. My skin is back to normal and am able to go without makeup if I want too. The Ultracalming Serum Concentrate made the most significant improvement in my skin and am no longer concerned how my face looks because my skin looks WONDERFUL!.

My reactive skin has been troubling me for years! I have tried every single thing, including prescriptions. This product is by far the best for calming my skin. In the summer, I use it as a moisturizer and in the winter I layer it with either barrier repair or the super rich moisturizer. Dermalogica is the only brand that keeps my skin healthy, and I have tried everything! Worth the money.

My skin had become so inflamed and sensitive that I could not put any type of lotion, cream or makeup on it. I talked with the skin care rep at Ulta who happens to represent Dermalogica and it was amazing what that sample kit did for me! The biggest help was the Ultra Calming Serum, that leveled everything out to the point that with continued use of this product, I have now been able to add other things back in with out my face feeling like it is on fire! A wonder product I swear by! Thank you so very much!

Rain or shine, hold or cold, busy day or a laid back day, Dermalogica’s UltraCalming Serum Concentrate will take care and protect your skin. Ever since I was born, I always had sensitive skin and it manifested as red to pink patches of rash on affected areas. To make things worse, I have adult acne that I try everyday to control through exercise and proper diet. For me, everyday is a challenge in maintaining a calm and desensitized skin. Ever since I tried the UltraCalming Serum Concentrate, I felt like it was the product my skin was waiting for all this time. A multi-purpose product, conveniently packaged in a travel-friendly squeeze tube, it does what it is suppose to do; that is to calm, restore and defend sensitized skin. It can also be used as a light moisturizer. Its slight hint of calming lavender is in itself already therapeutic, and when it touches the skin, it absorbs easily and works right away. By using the serum concentrate, my skin now feels supple and calm. If there is one thing I have learned with skin products, that is, it should do what it is advertised to do, and I really do believe Dermalogica has stayed true to that principle. When it comes to skin products, Dermalogica’s Ultracalming Serum Concentrate is my better half in life.

I used this product first while receiving a facial. I ended up buying a whole bottle after I used the sample the facialist gave me. I love it! My skin is on the normal-dry side because I'm on chemo and this really balances it out. My skin feels velvety smooth but not heavy. No grease and no dryness. Just perfect for my combo

I started using Dermalogica in late Sept/2011. My skin is on the drier side, and is very sensitive and irratated. I can get small irratation bumps on my cheeks. Prior to useing this Serum I was useing the cleanser, active moist and the dalily exfoliator which all really helped with my skin overall but I still had some sensitiviy, now that I have started useing this Serum. The bumps have pretty much diminished and my skin is much smoother. A big improvement

I have mild rosacea and sensitive skin that is easily irritated. I found out about the UltraCalming serum from my facial aesthetician and using it has my skin smooth, glowing, and the redness is gone. It is great after a glycolic peel or waxing as well to calm the skin. This product is also moisturizing without clogging the pores. I highly recommend it.

The ultra-calming serum has become a main player in my daily skin-care routine. I use it morning and night after a cleanser and toner. It is like giving your skin a drink. I like the thinner consistency of this product b/c it goes on smoothly and soaks into your skin nicely. It is nice to use during the summer in place of a heavier winter-month moisturizer. I also love the light, calming fragrance. It is a great product!

I have very dry sensitive skin and suffer from eczema. I was after a product to hydrate my skin a little more without clogging my pores I used a sample of this product and thought it went well. I then got a tube and have used it for about 4 weeks, my skin is worse. My skin in now very red and so dry its flaking. Although I was told it was fragrance free and nowhere in the ingredients list does it state it contains lavender, it smells like lavender. Lavender I have found over many year of trying different products is one of the worst things for my skin. This is not a product I would continue to use or recommend to others particularly with sensitive skin like mine. I have been using dermalogica for about 7 years and have never had a reaction like this to other products, I very disappointed.
