This product is wonderful and has totally replaced my need for foundation on a daily basis.
I was looking for a moisturizer containing spf that didn't smell like a sunscreen. While this does have an spf odor, it's by far better than most. As an added bonus, it has tint. I started trying it last summer on kayaking excursions as a way to cover my breakouts and still protect my skin, without wearing harsh makeup in the sun. It did a nice job (no sun burn and barely tanned from 8+ hours and a single application) and I used it for days when I was outside, but that was about it.
After consulting my Dermalogica esthetician, she advised that I try to use spf daily, so I started applying it daily, only this time with her other recommendations. Now, I cleanse with the Dermal Clay Cleanser, use the Daily Microfoliant, and a toner. Then I apply the Barrier Repair and put the Brighten Up on top of that. With clean and moisturized skin, the Brighten Up provides enough coverage that I don't feel the need to use heavy foundation - that gets saved for special occasions. At the most, I use concealer and powder. The tint works well with my color, even though my skin is a sort of olive-yellow color.
Over all, I am very impressed. I am able to protect my skin and still have some coverage. The illumination is very natural - not at all sparkly. This is permanently in my make up kit and it will be the first thing that gets packed for camping and boating trips.
