I cannot live without this hydrating masque! My skin is extremely sensitive to dry climates, it goes all flaky, and all that other nasty stuff... But as soon as I tried this, it SAVED MY SKIN! I'm not going to lie, I use it more than I should, and I use more of it on my skin than I should, but I have noticed a HUGE difference! My skin is now supple, smooth, glowing, and just the best it's ever been :)

I've been using this product for years and when I bought my latest tube I thought it had gone bad not realizing they changed the formula. It was creamy vs gel and just smelled awful - which is why I thought it went bad. I liked the fact the previous gel had no scent to it. Jury is still out on its moisturizing capabilities. I have noticed my eyes are more dry but I also switched to a new formula of eye cream at the same time....

I have been using this masque for about a year and it has made such a difference to my skin. Hydrating and calming.
I tried the new recipe and the moment I put it on my skin it turned bright red and started burning. I immediately washed it off and had to put a cool, wet towel on my face for about 1/2 an hour to reduce the redness and stinging. Please bring back the old recipe.

We recently updated the Skin Hydrating Masque formula to increase hydration properties, and we understand that it is quite different from the previous formula. Although these changes should not affect the performance of the product, it concerns us to hear that it is causing an unpleasant experience for you. We are no longer producing the original Skin Hydrating Masque formula, but would like to recommend one of our other masques to try. I'm giving the new version of this ONCE fabulous product 0 stars (I had to give it one star though in order to complete my review). I started using Dermalogica products 10 years ago and found the old version of the skin hydrating mask just delightful. Light, cooling, soothing and, as the name would suggest, hydrating. It was one of very few products that was effective on my somewhat sensitive skin, However I am entirely disenchanted with the new release - have used it three times and thrown it away. My skin broke out in response to this and I am really disappointed that a once brilliant product, that formed a staple of my skin care regime, is now unavailable. Let me know if you decide to re-release the old recipe. Not interested in this product anymore otherwise.

Dermalogica, I am a 67 year old woman who has used your Skin Hydrating Masque for years. It made my skin feel young, and made me smile a lot. And then, you changed it. At first I thought someone put the wrong stuff in the tube, but I came to find out that it was a new formulation (with no warning to us). It did awful things to my skin, did not really hydrate, and I broke out....at 67 and not because it made me young. Why did you mess with an excellent product? It reminds me of when a large corporation decides to fix what isn't broken. Please, please, bring back what worked. I have read the other reviews, and women of all ages have complained that you messed up a good thing. Let me know when you decide to give us back what we loved.

I've been using this product for 2 years. It's great for my skin. However, I didn't like the new version of this product. It leaves a thin layer on my skin and it's very difficult to clean it. I asked a therapist and was told that it's supposed to stay on my skin. She advised me to switch to Colloidal masque (which is the original version but for professional size)

I absolutely love this masque! I use it on myself and my clients. It's great for clients who are dehydrated and who's skin could use a drink of water. It's also great for clients who have acneic or inflamed skin that needs to cool down. Rather than applying a heavy clay masque that would require lots of friction in removing, (and cause more inflammation) I usually opt for the Skin Hydrating Masque. And let's be honest, we all could use some hydration!

I am a True fan of many dermalogica products. If I had to choose one that I am happiest with, It would have to be The Skin Hydrating gel mask. The feeling begins as you spread the product on your face, You can feel it penetrating deep into your pores and the feeling of a fresh, clean sensation. 10-15 minutes of sheer pleasure. It's like putting your skin on an exotic vacation. When it is time to wash off and your face begins to dry, It makes your skin feel, With the tips of your fingers, Like you have just erased years of harsh treatment. Ready to complete your skins final touches w/ that much more radiance and vigor.

I have been scouring the web as I thought my online Dermologica supplier had sold me a fake! The new creamy version of the Skin Hydrating Masque is not a patch on the original clear gel and is in fact so bad I wondered if it was a replica.
The original clear gel soaked into the skin and made you look/feel years younger.
I won't be buying this product again. Dermologica - please advise how I can buy the original!

I totally agree with the lady on the 2nd review below. I've just purchased the new creamy white hydrating mask. Although it's very moisterising I Much preferred the clear gel time which absorbed into my skin perfectly and I could apply moisteriser straight over the top. DERMALOGICA - PLEASE PLEASE BRING BACK THE CLEAR GEL HYDRATING MASK!!!

Hi ladies, I have been using skin hydrating masque for few months! And I absolutely love it! It gives the highest level of hydration in conjunction with usage of hydrating booster. However, I recently bought the new improved version of skin hydration masque and when I opened to use it, it wasn't the clear gel type I used to use it. The new improved version is a creamy white texture. After 15mins of applying to my face, I washed it but found it difficult to remove the masque as it leave behind a oily grease on my face. So I am wondering any of you ladies have tried the new improved version and is it supposed to leave this kind of grease texture after rinsing off the masque? As compared to the old version, the clear gel type, whereby after rinsing it off, the face felt so clean. Please advice me, ladies... Many thanks.

I use this masque in conjunction with the sebum clearing masque in the summer. In the winter, I use more of this masque than anything. It definitely adds the extra moisture my skin needs, especially in the winter months.

Helped with my dry skin. I first used it twice a week to help my get more moisture. Than afterwards only when my skin fel the most dry. Its great and really works immediately. I would buy this in bulk if I weren't on a budget.

I have severely dry skin which only gets worse throughout the winter months. I've used this product 1-2 times weekly (after exfoliating) for about a month and I've seen an incredible difference in the appearance and texture of my skin. No flakiness! The best part is that it's very easy to use and did not burn or irritate. Simply great!

There is ABSOLUTELY nothing that even comes close to even compare to the Skin Hydrating Masque,. The results are superb...richly hydrated skin that glows! My wife turned me onto this product and said I should use it after long flights (int'l or LA to NYC/Boston/Miami) as your skin gets very dehydrated and this is will fix it.
It works great! Felt weird to use at first, as I never used a masque, but take it with me all the time now.
