Perfect Gentle Cleanser!

I had always used cleansers that bubble and foam but when my skin started to show signs of aging, I started experimenting with new products. It was natural to fall in love with the Essential Cleansing Solution. My skin had been beginning to feel a bit thirsty and loves the rich & creamy feel. My skin is much less sensitive now that I use Dermalogica and people are complimenting my skin and asking what I'm using! Gotta love that! =)

love love love this cleanser in every way! was used on me at Ulta during one of the treatments and i just HAD TO HAVE IT! love how rich and soft it feels on my skin, and leaves my skin light and fresh. i like to use a little on my elbows too because it really softens them up! couldn't live without this!

This is THE one. You will never need another cleanser. First, it keeps my skin perfectly balanced and moisturized year round. I no longer need to purchase one for humid summers and a separate one for dry winters. Second, I love that it is rich and creamy without soapy bubbles, which means, it doesn't burn your eyes or skin and is easy to rinse off completely, without leaving residue. You only need a small amount which makes the bottle last a long time. All in all, its the best cleanser that I have found and does exactly what I need it to. Leaves my face fresh, moisturized, cleansed and free of irritations. Even my husband uses it, since its fragrance free and not "too girly".

I LOVE this cleanser. I use a Clarisonic Mia to cleanse my skin and rid it of impurities. I found this cleanser to be the best product to use with my Clarisonic. I have very sensitive skin and I'm prone to white heads. The Dermalogica Essential Cleansing Solution soothes my tender skin while cleaning it. My skin feels soft and clean afterwards. I am in the process of being diagnosed with an autoimmune disease (probably Lupus) and have flares of a dermatitis type rash that reacts to most products. That is not the case with this cleanser. It is a great cleanser and a great value.

I am a bit "product excessive" when it comes to tending to my bodies largest organ, but I have found that this face cleanser is by far one of the best products on the market! And it is my number 1 consistent spa item. I haven't encountered another wash that cleanses without over drying, while also moisturizing without leaving a residue- and I have combination skin. It's rich and more concentrated too, so a small amount goes a long way!

This was one of the first products that i purchesed from dermalogica.. I wasnt sure what to even get but it seemed like the description fit my skin well so i thought id give it a try seeing all the great reviews and hearing such amazing things about this company.. any how... im not sure if it was this cleasner and the lotion combined or just the cleanser but it made my skin break out worse.. I dont have acne but i do get little bumps on my cheeks and for head and this made them worse:( i was soo sad because i really wanted to love this line.. I am going to give another cleanser a try because i desperatly need a face wash to get rid of these bumps and possibly help clear blackheads and minamize my pores.. soo im crossing my fingers for some results! If any one has any reccomendations for these problem areas i would greatly appericate it.. Hope this helps.. Stay away if u have any kind oily skin or are looking for something to clear breakout..

Let me start by saying that I NEVER write reviews, so this is saying a lot in itself! I am seriously in love with this product/brand. I have only used the 3 step system from clinique and I have very dry skin with blackheads on my nose that I have never been able to get rid of. After years of clinique with just ok skin I decided to try something but was terrified of breaking out with a new regimen. This did not happen with Dermologica, I started with the dry skin set to test it out and after the first use my skin felt amazing. I feel like I have never had truely clean skin until now. In 2 weeks time my skin was completely different! Not only did I not have dry skin anymore my skin was very even, my pores were smaller and my blackheads were cleared tremendously! I never had a breakout and couldnt be happier, this is my new holy grail product! It is worth every penny! I see why so many celebrities use this line, you will not be disappointed I can promise you that!!!

I've been using this cleanser for almost two months (after first trying the Special Cleansing Gel for my typically clogged pores and moderate struggle with adult acne). I wish I could upload before and after pictures! I very much love this stuff and what it has done for my skin.
It has the consistency of an intensely rich moisturizer, but on a wet face, it solvates to a smooth and creamy consistency; rub it around for a while, then it washes off perfectly. I use it in the morning before the Daily Microfoliant (occasionally after the PreCleanse), and again by itself before bed. Twice a week after a shower, I will do the Essential Cleansing Solution, then the Daily Microfoliant, and finally a clay mask. Every day and night, I wear a good moisturizer, also Dermalogica. I wish I could time-travel back to 1999 and tell teenage me what's up. . . and buy stock in the company.
Like I said, I had had a long-term problem with clogged pores and acne (especially in the summer, as a bike commuter without A/C at home), even though I'm now 26. That seems like a thing of the past: after two months of using this lovely stuff, my skin is perfectly clear with no more black- or whiteheads. It is like all of my efforts to fight pore congestion were actually drying up and setting the oils within my pores, causing the congestion. With this rich but super gentle cleanser, my skin is now radiantly soft and beautiful. I haven't even worn foundation or concealer for weeks (probably the final step for amazing skin, not slathering it in pigments that will accumulate in pores), and I look so much younger and refreshed. Thank you, Dermalogica! I'm convinced.

I have been using this cleanser for over 20 years and would not think of changing. It cleans without drying and washes off completely. I sincerely believe using Dermalogica for these past 20 years has kept my skin looking young. That and staying out of the sun.

I Had a hysterectomy at 24 and went from normal to severely dry skin overnight. Essential cleansing gives my skin back the moisture it so desperately needs and feels like silk, I would take a bath in it if I could! Its simply amazing, what more can I say?

i am not as happy with this product as i was the one i used previously. it seems hard to rinse off and takes more of it to remove makeup. i am not sure why i changed because i loved the dermalogica product i was using. i may ask for a swap...i am not using it anymore.

A fabulous product for keeping my skin clear and clean. You can really feel it working as it takes off the daily grime each evening. The feeling of freshness that I get every morning after using it is simply the best though. No other product makes my skin feel squeaky clean like dermalogica does. Once I've used my essential cleanser, I've woken up with a smile, I can see it, and my skin can feel it. The packaging is simple and portion size is perfect. I love this product and it loves my skin.
