I have used this product for a good while and it gives a comfortable and close shave. It also smells great and the peppermint leaves the skin feeling cool and fresh.
Unfortunately, the latest tube I purchased has a slightly different cap and doesn't allow control of the product when squeezing from the tube. Instead the product just runs out of the tube because the hole in the cap is so large. This results in too much waste. Previous tubes have had a lip on the hole allowing better control. I have contacted Dermalogica and they deny changing the cap but as a regular user of this product I know that it has!

Does the trick..

Not too impressed but I gave it five stars because it alleviates any redness and shaving bumps/zits soon after my shave. I have EXTREMELY sensitive skin. I like that it's a clear gel and the fact it smells of Tea Tree Oil! The invigoration is very soothing to the razor strides. Id go with the gel cream instead!

I got samples of both shave cream and this gel from a local retailer and decided to go with the gel but now I've realized that the gel dries up way too fast.
Otherwise gel is just as promised but for some reason I didn't notice the drying when using the sample - it could also be because I used five blade with the samples (faster) and after purchasing the retail package I used DE safety razor (way slower as i'm still getting used to using it).
Too bad that this product dissapointed me, I really liked it otherwise.

The gel is too light and doesn't provide the protection my skin needs when shaving. It doesn't lather well and often dries before I finish shaving - and I apply liberally.
I like the ingredients and if the gel were thicker/more viscous, I think it would be a lot more popular.

First of all: I love dermalogica!
My problem with the shave gel is the same with the shave cream: it dries to fast!
I lather my face and start shaving (even without waiting that the product softens my beard).
Bevore I can finish shaving, the face is too dry to shave, so I have to lather it again!

I much prefer the Shave Cream. this gel doesn't lather well, so I don't feel like their is anything on my skin when I shave. The Shave Cream lathers nicely and smells good.
